Hi, was recently clearing out the attic and found my box with loads of old High Elf models hehe I wanted to include the Rivendell Knights in the list, what do people think of this list:

Warband 1
Rivendell Knight Captain
Shield
Knight of Rivendell x 3
Shields

Warband 2
Arwen Evenstar
Asfaloth or maybe an Elven Cloak

Warband 3
Glorfindel
Armour of Gondolin
High Elf x 8
Spears & Shields
High Elf x 4
Elf Bows

18 models total, I wanted to include more Knights but that would leave me little room for troops ! Arwen is there for Nature's Wrath, I've not included banners for this list due to the already low model count

2 questions, should I have Arwen on horse to support the knights or give her a cloak to help her survivability ? And is it okay having her on her own or should I swap her with Glorfindel ?

I would personally drop arwen. You could fit in another 3 knights which is really good. 18 models for me is just too low.

my personnal suggestion would prob be

If you want nature´s wrath and still a good force leader, replace arwen and glorfindel for elrond mounted.


About arwen and what to give up to her role really... if you want offensive arwen to see melee often then horse, horse do give manouverability to her when casting the spell affording a wider range where the spell can affect.

Cloak avoid her being shoot in range and charges if not within the range to see her, if this is the case I would suggest her to keep with the elven host as she could hide behind them and keep invisible.


At this game point in rivendell, or you got almost like and all heroe way, or invest on cheap heroes and get numbers.... knights are good but also expensive.


My humble opinion would be to get numbers, favour the elves in mass then see what happens...

As far as synergy combinations I think ELrond mounted and Lindir would provide a way better synergy to the entire force and Lindir backs up Rivendell´s master quite well and not only works like a "wizards staff" but also allow elrond to all models nearby him (6") to gain magic resist. and lindir its better than arwen as hes not that squishy...(hes D6 with heavy armour for the cost of -1 fight)

As for elrond he works like glorfindell and arwen combined .

If you want to be really nasty though, use the white council elrond lord of the west, he doesnt have the horse thats true, but an heroe that can call heroic strikes for free with a nearby lindir hes gonna be like glorfindel and still a bit better as you get for free a potencial even higher fight, fate re-rollable, and spells...

More knights and less Arwen.

Also, you gotta take the points off your models because GW will throw a hissy fit.
