We do have a member of the DCHL in Ft. Bragg North Carolina! He travels up here now and again, but we consider him a member due to his dedication to our group and since he is the brother of the Head of the DCHL. If either of you consider yourself close enough to that army base, then I would love to introduce you to him.

Fort Bragg is about an hour away. That's not too far for me really. I'm sure I could work out some time to have an introduction and play a game.

That would be awesome! I'm always up for a casual, fun game. Plus this will motivate me to get some of my armies fully painted up and to build some more terrain.

If you guys give me about a week's notice, I'd be more than up for a game at Pinecrest. My school/work schedule is weird, and I've actually had a lot of time to go home over the weekends (which is about an hour and a half away), so I'll need a bit of warning so I don't plan on going home. That said, I've already got my next two weekends booked. However, as of now I don't have anything planned for the weekend of the 21st if y'all are interested in a game.

Excellent! He wanted to make his email public for all those who are interested. His email is Jordan.l.moreno@gmail.com

He is really excited to meet players in North Carolina. Feel free to reach out to him and he is more than willing to go to Games workshop in Raleigh or have you meet with him.

We post all of our confirmed future events on the website, however if we see enough support all over the East Coast, then we would be more than happy to host a massive event for a large group. We have multiple gaming centers whom would be more than happy to rent their store to us for a day or two.

When we have those events, we would be more than happy to announce them on the One Ring so that you don't miss out.

I will definitely give him an email when I get a chance. I go to Greensboro a lot on the weekends as well for work. There is a Games Workshop in Winston-Salem and I know the manager plays the Hobbit here and there. I will spread the word about you guys there as well. They are also ~4hours away from DC.

Thanks for spreading the word on us! Our goal is to bring as much attention to the Hobbit as possible! The GBHL is not alone in their efforts! We are determined to keep this game going as long as possible! :D

It should be fixed now! Keep in mind that the second set of videos have some cursing and are experimental. Our local community liked them so I figured I'd give them a try on this forum. Let us know what you think of them.

I would remove the cursing or at least bleep it out.

I also take it that you're a fan of ScrewAttack and Evil Craig.

Haha yes that is awesome that you noticed! We didn't want to copy Evil Craig (though we did use his trademark intro for our second video) but we felt his character on screw attack was a perfect inspiration for a guy who just sucks the fun out of everything. Our character, "That Guy" is inspired from a mix of him, and several other characters such as 1d4chan editors. As time goes on, we will have really developed our character and you will notice less similarities between us and Evil Craig.

Also, we chose to do the cursing to make the character sound more aggressive rather than whining, since people who only care about winning tend to be this way. but we can tone it down a bit, especially with certain words. I hope the videos are funny though since that is the point of them.

****!

I wish this happened years ago....I was stationed in Odenton, Maryland for 6 months and in Camp Lejeune North Carolina for 3 years.

If I visit some friends, go to college, or work in D.C. in the future, Ill def hit you guys up.

Nice work. Love the videos. I think they (not to compete) filling in things that the GBHL videos were lacking. Keep up the good work guys.

Yeah we wish we had thought of this years ago as well! With the Lord of the Ring's license ending soon, we don't have very much time to get the Hobby back on it's feet. We are certainly doing very well with the time we do have however! We will definitely welcome you whenever you come to this area.

Hey DCHL, do you ever go to the wargaming conventions Historicon, Cold Wars, or Fall In? Maybe run a tournament there?

Unfortunately we are only just learning of these conventions recently but they seem like fantastic ideas! If anyone already knows how to arrange a tournament for those groups, then we would be more than happy to arrange it.We are already working on NOVA and Adepticon, as well as providing a facility to host tournaments of our own. We have a massive enough following here in the DCHL to persuade most conventions to support our game. And even if they dont, please expect us to rent a massive location and host our own tournament this year! :D

Here's the main site:
http://hmgs.site-ym.com/?page=CWHome

Next con is Cold Wars in Lancaster PA, Mar 5-8

They are very Tournament friendly. With at about 10-15 different tournaments being run over the 3 day weekend.

After that is Historicon, in Fredricksburg VA, in July.

We will definitely look into those for tournament ideas. March 8th might be a bit too soon for them to let us start a new tournament but If we can do it, then we will let everyone know! We are very eager to get regional or even national level tournaments going here in the U.S.

Nah Smith. I'm working on it through someone for next year. We need to plan it by this fall for next Spring. Takes a lot time.

We can't expect the DC guys to do our work anyway.
