Lovely work. Gloin's face stands out for me. I also think the definition on Bofur's clothing is great. I like your style in general.

I've painted Bifur and Oin over the last few days, what do you think? :)

I have now painted all of the remaining ones I had left. However, I've not quite finished as I decided to strip Gandalf and Thorin, as I really wasn't happy with them and believe since I painted them last summer my painting skills have improved so hopefully I can do them a bit better. :)

Thank you! I've recently painted a lot of Warhammer models which are bigger, and I think that's helped me develop my painting and ability to paint smaller models like these :)

Blooming heck. I'm sure your work gets better and better. Crisp and precise detail everywhere you look.

I absolutely love that cranberry coloured overcoat you have given Oin!

Let's see a group shot!

Thank you very much!
I'm planning on doing that when I repaint Gandalf and Thorin :)

Fantastic standard you've got going here - really, really good! Oin is especially good. The improvement from the start of this thread is staggering! Well done! :yay:

I stripped Thorin because I was really unhappy with the previous paintjob. I painted it back last summer and I think my painting has improved a little bit since then, so I wanted to see if I could do a better job. What do you think? :)

Good to see the side by side comparisons. The original looked good but you can clearly see the improvement. The depth in the face is the big improvement in my eyes.

I painted Galadriel this afternoon, any comments would be appreciated. Bit of a different approach to this one with mostly glazes, so I'm not sure if it looks good. I much prefer plastic too, the finecast is just not as nice and smooth in my eyes. I've left her eyes white as it was hard getting the pupils looking right with how small they are, think I can get away with it for her though, pretend she's conjuring up a spell. What do you think?

Some nice work on the glazing, blending isn't too bad.
Her skin could be fairer for an elf.
Eyes are something to practice practice practice as it can really make the difference. I work mine first. Apply white, then black for the pupil, surround and cut in a mid / dark brown to create the shape of the eye.
One little trick is to set the eyes looking to the side.
Maybe not the best photo but that is what I did here

I finally finished the Escape From Goblin Town dwarves today, it's good to finally see them done. What do you think? :)

I also stripped and repainted Gandalf, I painted him last year and I'm happy with how he looks now, I think you can see my painting development in the model too :)

Great to see them finished, I seem to have stalled on mine.
They look good and Gandalf really shows your development.

I really enjoy this thread. Those dwarves would look great on any gaming table.
