UK Based person can help me?

Hey everyone, I am living in New Zealand and obviously play The Hobbit SBG.

I noticed the website Wayland Games, that has The Hobbit models for ridiculously cheap prices compared to NZ.

For example:
-Vanquishers of Necromancer = 32 pounds = 64 NZD (Retails for 117 NZD in New Zealand Games workshop)
-Rivendell Knights = 22.5 pounds = 45 NZD (Retails for 100 NZD in New Zealand Games workshops).

As you can see these prices are over 50% cheaper than buying from my local games workshop, which is basically the only good stockist of these models in NZ.

The problem is that Wayland Games can not ship to NZ, only to UK and around Europe.

I was wondering if there is anyone in UK that can place an order for some things for me from Wayland Games, in the near future, and then post them to me here in NZ, and I will pay full for all expenses + possibly a bit extra for your effort.

I would hugely appreciate this from anyone that is willing to help.

I would prefer if it were someone that has a good reputation on this site and has trustworthy recommendations for previous trades.

I wouldn't touch Wayland Games with a 10ft barge pole. They have a horrible rep over here with customers often waiting months for their order/ a refund.

The reason they won't ship to NZ is because of the GW trade embargo. GW prevent indie stockists shipping outside their region (Europe etc) as they know it'll hurt local profits.

If you really do want them, contact Moriamadness. He runs Orcward Battles and can get Direct Only stuff from GW for 20% off. He may be willing to ship to NZ.

Thanks for telling me, I noticed some of their stuff is "in-stock" and same is "available for order", does the instock stuff also take months to arrive you reckon?

Also for 20% off, it probably wont be worth with shipping costs + service fee to the guy

I found Wayland decent enough in the past, with one only order taking awhile but that was due to needing to restck from the US. As for suppliers plenty of the smaller ones around, offering discounts . If they aren't then ebay UK may help plenty of new box sets and no GW holding your trade account to ransom. As side note GW trade account terms mean that traders can only obtain a certain amount a month

I have used Wayland Games numerous times. No problems, speedy service.

It seems to me they invest heavily in their front end, customer service, and attend the major shows. i.e. a real player serving the hobby.

All this seems unlike certain other online sellers I have used and had long long delays and bungled dispatches from.

The trick with Wayland is to only order items listed as 'in stock', they should get to you within the 3-9 day estimate without a problem. It's the stuff they order in that causes the delays, and to be fair the them those products are marked clearly on the site now.

Those in the UK could also try Element Games, not quite as cheap as Wayland but apparently very fast service.

Buddy of mine from the States ordered a pair of dead troll bases from Wayland 2 weeks ago, yesterday he received his pair of shrine bases. Lol totally different from troll bases. Glad i got mine from Element . Speak to JT at Orward battles ;-)

I'm through with Wayland by now. Half of the orders I place there I end up having to cancel because they don't come through. Sitting on one I placed a fortnight ago, right now.

alot of problems with resellers as are the terms GW imposes, with limits on what can be ordered or even the amount they can sell online. (the retailer even apparently agrees to allow gw the power to audit their accounts ). Yeah you may have to wait, but if you ring then they will give you an idea of when to expect something. The longest I've had to wait was 6 weeks but that was because of the need to redtock items from the usa. They do deliver unlike some scam artists. Ring them to get timescales if the items are time sensitive.
