Ok, I really need everyone to help me out on this. I will be going to a tournament in a few months and I want to win. Any ideas on how to make it better would help a lot.

My army list:
Hunter Orcs
Fimbul
12 x Hunter Orcs 4 w/ bows, 2 w/ two handed
2 x Hunter Orc Captains w/ warg
24 x Hunter Orcs 8 w/ bows, 5 w/ two handed

Mordor
Kadush Firecaller
10x Orcs w/ spears
2x Black Numeanors one w/ banner and one w/ war horn

Orc Drummer

Tournament rules:
Army Lists
Army Composition
Tournament: Every player may only pick units
from a maximum of two factions from any of the
Lord of the Rings or Hobbit Range. Additionally, if
they pick another faction beyond the first, then
that second faction must have at least 12 models
in its warband. The Exceptions to all these rules
are the following factions (You can have two
factions and still ally in these):
Denizens of the Dark
The Three Trolls

The missions for each round will be:
Round 1: To the Death
Round 2: Domination.
When seeing who controls an objective, instead count the number of points each of your models is
worth within 3” of the objective. The player worth the most claims it and gets 2 points. If the other
player has any models within 3” then they still get 1 point. Additionally points are earned for breaking a
force without being broken, and wounding or killing an enemy leader as normal.
Round 3: Reconnoitre
Round 4: High Ground
5 points is awarded to the player who has more point’s worth of models touching the center area than
the opponent. You get 2 points for contesting. Extra points for wounding an enemy leader and breaking
a force as normal. The game ends when a force is reduced to 25%
Final Round: To the Death

Thanks - Hawkes001

It is a solid list. Hard to chew through that many Hunter Orcs. I would say that it's lacking a good solid fighting Hero, but with those numbers I would say it's not necessary to have.

Don't plan on winning though W, my Mirk-ebor list is clearly going to do that. ;)

Actually, one recommendation:

Drop the two HO Captains on Wargs, and 15 points (Two Hunter Orcs?) and add:
Narzug on Warg
Yazneg on Warg with Lance

It's a small investment for a huge payoff.

I agree with the above orc switch, I would also drop those two black numenoreans and just make them regular orcs and use the leftover points to give some of those orc spearman a shield, having that shield is the difference between killing on a 5 or a 6( shield) against s2 bows. They can then also shield in a pinch.

I will have to play with the Orc character changes. I will let you know how it works out.

The reason I have Black Numenoreans in my is that I get a banner and war horn with D6 and terror. Also, the war horn is 10 points cheaper then a hunter orc one.

The mordor horn should be the same cost on an orc as it is on a numenorean, isn't it? I understand the d6 and terror, those are great attributes to a model, they also have f4, BN's are great troops for their cost. But, if you are not putting them into combat, which I am guessing you will not be doing, then you are paying points for benefits you will not be using. The terror might keep some models from charging, but in most cases these two models will be behind friendly lines all the time. Those points might go better into something else, shields, a better hero, etc etc.

A regular Ringwraith could be usefulll.... 2 wargs will pay 1/3 for the price of a basic one. This Nazgul aint ment for fighting, hes merely here for spellcasting and courage debuff along with banner protection that in other hand will make the numenorian guy´s Terror slightly more effective. In last ressource you can sacrifice kardush and rebuff the nazgul´s will store. A pretty handy trick at times....
