Great to hear about your upcoming plans! I'll definitely be looking forward to your take on Helm's Deep. :-D

@Dikey, for Helm's Deep scenario, we'll be following the movie more closely (warg attack on the way to Helm's Deep, Eómer being part of relief force, Haldir & elves being present, and siege ladders used for the Hornburg). As to which heroes are otherwise present, remains to be seen - this is affected by the previous scenarios, of course.

I'm so glad this is still going. Are you backing up all of the pictures and text for this thread and your "making of" thread? Just in case One Ring goes under... it's such great inspiration. I highly suggest you publish everything in a PDF and release it, or contact the Great British Hobbit League and have your parts in their SBG magazine.

I'm not sure it is as easy as that ;) Although it would make a nice special edition mag, maybe one christmas.

I'm pretty speechless. This is very, very good, and so inspiring! I have wanted to do a similar thing with the Hobbit for some time. This creates all kinds of ideas and thoughts! Will subscribe to this at once!

Just a question about the Warg Attack scenario: Will you allow for the possibility of one of the good heroes being pulled off a cliff by a Warg, like in the movie? If this happened to a hero, they could count as having lost all their fate and all but one of their wounds or something.

Just a thought!

Intriguing idea - haven't given the scenario much thought yet. I doubt we'd have cliffs as high as that seen in the movie, though!

And for all of you patiently waiting - things are slowly progressing behind the scenes, with repainting and scenery work, and we are going to be playtesting the Amon Hen scenario soon. The campaign is still very much alive.

Even if i have just joined this forum, i have been playing LOTR for more or less six-seven years, i have hundreds of miniatures and me and my group of italian friends (8) have played several epic scenarios, going as far (err... well, that was my work :P ) as building the whole first level of minas tirith and play a 6000vs6000 points maatch. But. But this. This is simply amazing, this is the creation of an artist i say! My most sincere congratulations and respect, i had never even dreamed about something like this.....

I discovered this campaign thread last week and find everything that you are doing so inspiring! Absolutely fantastic terrain, thematic photos, and obvious dedication to the craft of this hobby. Simply splendid.

Don't be so hasty! Have we said that the campaign is not continuing? We will announce any premature discontinuation, rest assured. But for now, the campaign most certainly is still ongoing - but I've been delayed by a death in the family. While I cannot say when we will play Amon Hen, I am sure I can post something from behind the scenes in the coming weeks...

Sorry to hear that - take care.

Wonder if people will ever learn that temporary silence doesn't mean things aren't going on behind the curtains, or will continue at some point in the near future. Long periods of no visible activity are hardly new here, but always followed by a terrific update worth the wait. Take your time.
