Hello,

Last year I did a terrain for my Master Chief figure from HALO. I ended up using A4 sheets of foam board 5mm thick as I did not know what else to use.

I want to create a diorama again, but this time using a ticker base, as I had to pile the 5mm boards up, and I do not want to do that again.

Im thicking of something about 500mm/5cm thick

what is good for a base?
Where would you get that from?

UK ONLY PLEASE
Id like something easy to cut into as I want to create a small river,

thanks

Wolverine, You want 1 or 2 inch thick foam insulation boards by Dow-Corning. I'm not sure what they call it in the UK, but a bit of research here will yield you all the answers that you'll ever need to know.

For a stronger base, you may want to glue the foam board to a piece of MDF.

Invest some time in a search and you'll see plenty of examples here.

Thank you. Saturday I am going to my local DIY store, just to have a look.
