Hello,

I was wondering, what's the best way to deal with Ringwraiths, especially on fellbeasts. Is it to use a friendly wizard to cast lots of sap will on them? Or Galadriel? Or try to knock them off their fellbeasts with panic steed?

Thanks for reading!

There's lots and lots of different approaches to taking down Wraiths on Fell Beasts... here are a few....

Galadriel Lady of Light - Banishment
old Thranduil, Elrond, Arwen and Stormcallers - Nature's Wrath
Gwaihir and Eagles - use their mobility and strength to fight flight with flight
Iron Hill Ballista - Direct hits take all wounds away
Legolas - use Auto-hit to snipe Fell Beasts
Ring wraiths- fight fire with fire, sap will right back at them
Bezerkers - Courage 7 ensures charge, and S4 2A with a couple of them can bring down the FB in one turn
Azog on White Warg - F7 gives him the edge to win the fight and he wounds heroes on 3+ after winning the fight
Floi - his special rule removes Undying's ability to use Will as Fate, and 1 wound can take him out in one round

I'm sure others will chime in also and list a few methods that they have used.....

I would also add monsters with strength 7 and higher. Mordor trolls, mordor troll chieftains, ents, treebeard, Gundabad trolls etc. Each of the aforementioned models are minimum Fight 7, and most with decent courage. All it takes is winning the fight and hurling the wraith and the fell beast is gone. That and the ability to rend the wraith should be enough to deal with them. My personal favorite model to use is Gulavhar. Strength 8 with solid might, will, resistant to magic and fly. He eats wraiths.

How do you avoid getting those counters transfixed along the way though? Without sinking all your points into backups for the counters.
