Coming very soon, the folk rabble looks like an excellent choice for those peasants of Dale or the 4 you need in the first scenario of Scouring of the Shire. Certainly my choice for Dale. Check out the shields, there are some neat bear ones for the Beornings and some with a tree for Gondor.

Although the designers claim that Dale is inspired by the cultures along the Himalayas as much as the Mediterranean, I've always seen Spain and Italy when I look at them. If you do too, you can do much worse than the Streets of Venice collection by TTCombat. They're modular too, which for any of us who have large terrain collections and small homes, is wonderful. There are some part-built ones too, if a dragon has recently visited your city. Many of these would also work for Gondor.

Search "crop fields" for more. I bought his shaped bases and glued Egyptian terrain and fake plants all over them. So far, a really great guy to deal with and great products.
