Hi all, I really would like to participate at the April challenge, but I don't know how to post a picture of my unpainted miniature. Can somebody help me? Thank you!

Sign up for a site like imgur. Upload the photos there. Copy the URL from the photo.

When writing a message here, there's a button below the subject line marked IMG. Click that and two sets of square brackets appear [ img] (I've added extra spaces here just as an example so it will show up)

Paste the URL between the IMG boxes [ img]www.example.jpg

I had the exact same issue a couple of months ago.. Luckily
though, Genee is all over it with a great explanation on how to do so.

Can't wait to find out what you're entry is!

This is the second part of my April entry. Apologies for the delay had finished last week apart from the freehand banner work.

Usually too scared to paint anything freehand so pleased with how it turned out.

Lools good from here, but are you able to take a pic in better light? It's a bit hard to see.

Going to do one of these for the next challenge

I'll take better photos in the morning. It's late here & really poor light.

Are you working through the original fellowship? I'd go Boromir!

Yeah working through the set. I managed to buy an unopened box last year. My original set are all broken and chipped beyond reasonable repair. Hope to do a diorama, or use them as a set piece for a terrarium. I've to do the 3 remining hobbits too, but made a start on them so not putting them in the contest.

Thank you, Gene, for the information how to submit pictures into the forum.

I'll try to do it. My miniature for the challenge will be Golfimbul, mounted and on foot. I hope I can show it here soon, and of course, will finish the painting to my satisfaction.

Here is my unpainted model for the April challenge! (Thanks once again to Gene for his help!) :D

Image

As you can see, it's Golfimbul. I made this picture in April when the March challenge was still active, but I hope this doesn't matter.

Hm, something is still not o.k. I can open the picture only in a new tag, and I don't see it directly in my post here. What did i make wrong?

Great stuff guys, Gene do you mind if I add your guide to the main post?

This month I am working on two heroes, as they both had some progress way back when an unexpected journey was released. I felt it was finally time to get them finished!

The Goblin King and what I think may be my favourite Gandalf:

Here is my entry for the April challenge: finecast Theoden. No guarantees I will get it done on time, but I'll do my best.

Hi Gene, thank you once again for your help. now finally my picture appears. I had to click on the IMG-Button once again and then put the correct URL between the tags. A replacement only of the wrong URL did not work.

OIn the meantime I started painting. Happy Easter.

My entry for April ist finished! The pictures show how Golfimbul looks now. I gave him a pale skin, which should give associations to a golf ball.

Thank you, Perry_Pug and Mr Gimli, for your kind comments about Golfimbul. I was happy to read them yesterday in the evening. I'm especially glad that Mr Gimli saw the things on the base. I put there some extra stones and arrows to indicate some Hobbit defense.

Nice work! Dit you make the arrows yourself? Or is there some place you can buy them on the right scale?

Golfimbul is great! Echoing comments above, the basing really adds something too :)

My Uruk Hai scouts are nearing completion, will have to try something a little different on their bases too ;)
