Thanks all, I've just read through it and spotted a rogue picture so I've edited it and re-submitted it, I'm not sure if you will be able to read it until it gets re-approved but if not I'm sure it won't be long.

Thanks for fixing the article Tim, I have reapproved it. I also modified the layout a little to get some images to show side by side - I hope you'll agree it looks better for it.

A fabulous addition to the library Tim; our members are well served now with two of your excellent painting guides and I look forward to seeing as many more as you choose to write.

I must get off my behind and write some more articles myself!

Thanks Dagorlad, It looks great. I am hoping to do more painting articles over time and may even do one or two terrain ones, I've been thinking of writing a book at some time deadicated to painting miniatures but that is huge project that at the moment I just don't have enough time to do. One day though I'll get around to it.

I'd buy it without a moment's hesitation.

That echoes my own thoughts a bit. I'd like to write a book on building terrain models.

A possible future joint venture is springing to mind

*Edit* I just tried looking at the thread and was asked by a friend msn why he couldn't post a comment it said that the topic did not exist. Does it have to be reaccepted as well. It is not a problem i'm just curious is all, just so that the next time I write an article I make doubly shure every thing is in the right place before I submit it.

You really did a great job on that High Elf. Excellent painting, especially on the cloak and a very well written, useful guide. Hope to see some more articles from you soon. :D

Another excellent article! I really like the way you painted the armour and will surely find this painting guide very useful next time I'll be painting golden armour.
Very professional article with great pictures showing the painting step-by-step.
Congrats mate, hope to see more articles from you in the future :)

Odd little problem there Tim, but its all sorted now. The link back to the comments is restored.

And I'd be very interested to combine my wargaming terrain guides with top notch painting guides too. Definately an interesting idea, definately.

Fantastic guide again, Tim.

I don't normally use shading, just highlighting gradually from black or quick washes for the entire surface, so your techniques sound like something I should try and learn. The result is certainly very impressing.
