NO, seeing as it is a conversion, then it needs to be in the conversion catagory.

We're Live, yeah baby!

The competitions are open and accepting entries. At this stage, the Scenario/House Rules categories are not quit eready yet, but I'll get them working very soon.

Its all still a bit 'rough around the edges' at the moment and I will be finishing off the webpages over the next few days, so if you encounter any problems, please let me know so I can fix them quickly.

Enjoy!

seeing some entries already, I'd really think it would be good to set certain rules for picture sizes (e.g. width/height 600px in width, where the model or mini in question should occupy half of width or height). otherwise it will be really difficult to compare them.

There is a maximum width and height of 800 pixels already set in place and clearly displayed on the Upload form. Entries that are less than those sizes are accepted, but, if someone enters a smaller picture then that's their choice.

We won't impose rules about how much of the picture should be occupied by the mini or whatever, because such rules are impossible to police and make it all too restrictive - and really, its up to the entrant to put up the best image that they can to get the best chance of winning.

do you feel guilty? ;-) ... no, your's quite right, I'd say!

as Dagorlad pointed out correctly: everybody interested in getting his mini/scene judged will provide a proper image.
I'd rather like to see closeup stains next to fine brush lines that show me the skill of the painter than small distanced blurrings that tell nothing.

but that's MHO... I've got only few votes ...

As I am typing this *runs off to put static grass on base* I have finished my piece, an Uruk Hai berserker, for the beginners painting competition! Everyone has done great work to make this possible for me and everyone else on O-R to enter if they want.
Great work! :D

Thank you Bolg, all entries are extremely appreciated after all the hard work we went through (Beer swilling rock pigs eh?).
If all the categories aren't filled before the voting starts I'm about to eat my socks (forced by Brain and Alan)...

The choice is yours!

Eating your socks Potenza?! I would love to see that! Please, if you start, record on video, so we can have a good laugh! hahaha! Hehe, you better didn't say that, if there would be a lot of people like me around... with evil thoughts... ooooh.... hehehe... (yes Nygyll, I'm looking at you...)

Nah, really, let's hope all categories get filled with loads of masterpieces!
And if not, I know a store where they sell candy lingery Potenza, I guess they'll have some chocolate-socks to... hehe

;) TBB

You'd better start making an entry! :P
(Ridiculous Gondorian making stupid remarks on the account of a fierce Dwarf - puh!)

He wants an entry? How about this for an entrance:

http://www.one-ring.co.uk/phpBB2/album_ ... ic_id=2756

Nah - not finished, and the whole assemblage is too big (rules say 24inches by 24 inches, that is 60.8cm for any metricists out there).
I am working on a very humble single figure just as a starter.

But for later competitions... the socks are coming off.

mmmm wonder if due to his high alcohol consumption TBB's socks are beer flavoured???

But seriously folks not a great number of entries?? Where are all of these masterpeices? (and my tip for the day, check out the categories which no-one has entered yet, maybe winning oppotunities there  )

I for one think Barduck is behaving too inappropiatly on this site, I am still quite new to the site but even I can see that he is being somewhat negative  I would like to thank all the guys who set up this competition and who are running it, I have entered but I dont think I will beat Olefer at all, but it is still fun to show of your work to everyone else, just eneter for the fun of it :D
