hello all
So I ordered the Great Beast of Gorgoroth from my independent retailer about 2 weeks ago and when I got it home I noticed it was missing the two severed heads dangling from the carriage. I called GW customer service and they sent me a new one which arrived today......but the new one was also missing the two heads.

so before I call them again I want to know if this piece is actually supposed to be included?!?!?! has anyone bought this figure with the heads intact?

How odd. Can you see a spot where they would be missing?

According to this video that is actually a fairly common problem - but I'd like to know if they have broken off or the casting never got down there (maybe it made a spike or something). EDIT: He says so around 6:30

PS. Send a spare my way ;)

Did not dig mine out but it looks like some production changes. It is a much better kit than when it was first produced.

I made those videos to help people understand that all GBoGs are savable with a little work. So many people sent them back because the two halves didn't line up, not realizing it was supposed to be like that. GW surprised me greatly when they redesigned the body to avoid the issue altogether. It just goes to show that if enough people complain, they do actually take notice and do something about it (although they would never ever admit there is a problem).

Sorry about that. Would you like me to alter the pitch and/or accent next time? :)

If you wouldn't mind... :-D

It's really strange how you build up pictures of what people look/sound like based on their posts/avatars etc. It's happened to me a bunch of times already when meeting people in the flesh!

I agree this is a great sign of GW responding to criticism/problems and fixing them. It's good to see they do listen and, as many other have said, will often send out replacements for defunct models. Whatever else may be wrong with the company their customer service really is great.

Wow! Dave I didn't even realise that was you!
Believe it or not I thought something similar about the voice at the start though - was not how I "imagined" you at all.

How do people imagine me? Surely not as a huge grizzly bear? Perhaps I'd best not attend the tourney in April. I don't want people to be disappointed when a 40 year old receding 6'1" 200lb softly spoken guy turns up!

No problem. There are 3 videos. One for the beast, one for the howdah and one for the crew if it helps. 8)

Dave - I think its the "softly spoken" part. Does not line up with a ringwraith, a bear, and a guy who sculpts monsters :)

Aranel - good to hear.. maybe I should order one and cross my fingers.....
